Good news for WhatsApp users, soon calling can be done even without internet, Learn how this will happen

After a long wait, WhatsApp recently updated the voice and video calling feature in the desktop app.  This means that WhatsApp users can communicate with their friends and relatives by call through the desktop application.
 However, your device must have microphone and webcam support to make calls from the desktop application.  You can then talk through a one-to-one voice or video call from your laptop or computer.  However, the desktop version will not support group voice and video calling.  This means you can only call one user at a time.

 Calls can also be made without internet
 WABetaInfo, a website that provides information about WhatsApp, tweeted this information.

 WABetaInfo said in a tweet that even if your phone is not connected to the internet, there will be no problem with your desktop call.  With multi-device support in future updates, you will be able to make calls and message even when the phone does not have internet.


WhatsApp Desktop won't interrupt your current call if your phone is not connected to the Internet anymore, during the call. 

When multi device will be available in a future update, you can also start calls and send messages without an active Internet connection on your phone.


What is Multi Device Support
 WhatsApp has been working on multi-device support for a very long time and it is expected that it will be launched soon.  The most special thing about this feature is that it will work in other devices even though it does not have internet in the main device.  WABetaInfo spotted this feature in beta version 2.21.1.1 of WhatsApp.
