Indian EV company eBikeGo has launched ‘Rugged' electric moto-scooter.
The electric scooter from eBikeGo will be much cheaper than the launch price once the buyer includes the additional benefits from various governmental subsidies. The company has announced that deliveries for the new scooter will begin in November.
Rugged scooter will be available in two versions: G1 and G1+, with costs ranging between ₹79,999 (ex-showroom) and ₹99,999 (ex-showroom). The price accounts for the FAME II subsidy, but not the state subsidy.
The Rugged scooter can be booked from Rugged's official website, www.rugged.bike, the electric scooter can be reserved for ₹499 which is refundable in case of cancellation.
Price of Rugged electric bike
eBikeGo has launched the Rugged electric scooter in two variants: Rugged G1 and Rugged G1+. The base model, which is the Rugged G1, is launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 79,999 while the Rugged G1+ has been priced at Rs 99,999.
Customers can avail various subsidies offered by the Central and state governments to boost the adoption of electric vehicles with the purchase of the eBikeGo Rugged electric scooter. Moreover, buyers won’t have to pay any road fees for the bike as well.
Performance of Rugged electric bike
The Rugged electric bike will be powered by a 3kW motor that can bolster the two-wheeler in touching its top speed of 70 kmph with ease. The electric vehicle manufacturer claims that the bike offers a range of up to 160 km on a full single charge.
Rugged electric scooter features
The newly launched electric bike is built on a cradle chassis that is made from a steel frame. eBikeGo is offering a seven-year warranty on the chassis. The electric scooter sports 12 built-in smart sensors linked directly to the main app of the EV maker.
You can use connectivity features to unlock the bike. eBikeGo has also added an anti-theft feature, along with other emergency sensors helpful during the time of an accident.
Rugged electric bikes battery details
Rugged electric bike comes with a 2kWh battery pack that takes close to 3.5 hours for a full charge from 0 to 100%. The bike offers a boot space of about 30 litres.
Rugged electric scooter booking and delivery update
Bookings of the Rugged electric scooter have been opened with the launch. Customers can pay Rs 499 to book the bike.
